42!

Okay, so I guess I now have the answer to the meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything...if I could only remember what the question was. Oh well. Never mind. Instead, I'll just post what I've decided to declare my birthday anthem this year, for your enjoyment. It would be nice if there were an official video for this song, but this fan-made effort is pretty decent for what it is. Have a good day. I will be.

  1. Since you are 42 you don't HAVE the answer, you ARE the answer! Congrats!

  2. I have to to tell you that is my all time favorite Rush song. We've seen them in concert SEVERAL times here in the Tampa Bay area. We've never been disappointed! Take Care!

  3. Massive Rush fan, here! Countless concerts, etc.
The theme of their latest CD, 'Snakes and Arrows', is based around fundamentalism and it's causes and effects it has on the world today, and how dangerous it really is.
Besides 'Faithless', another great song about this is 'The Way the Wind Blows'. Really slams the fundies and all their ignorance. Great song, too!

By far their most solid work since the 'Moving Pictures' and 'Signals' days.

  4. 42 with no children? It isn't too late dude, give your parents some grand children before they are too old to enjoy them. Repent and trust today and you will be blessed by the Lord.

Psalm 127:3 "Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward."

By the time I turn 40 in August I will have 4 children, glory to God.

  5. Good for you, Dan. I'm not into the whole parenthood thing myself. Kids are fine, I just don't want any. And happily, my parents have always been the sort of people to encourage me in whatever I choose to do, rather than pressuring me into doing things I don't want to do, just to please them. I please them just fine being me, I'm happy to say, and I've been very lucky to have such a supportive family.

  6. It is a little worrying, however, that the people who choose not to have kids are usually the same people I think would raise better kids.

  7. Martin-
Don't worry about it. I'll be 42 in September and I have no kids (never will- made that permanent a few years back). Always been told that I would've made a good dad. Um, no, I wouldn't.
The way I look at it, the world is going to hell in a handbasket with one of the main reasons being that people are breeding like sewer rats.

Resources are dwindling, and personally, I look down on people that over-populate.

Met with a potential client the other day that has 14 siblings! 14? You got to be frickin' kidding me.
    Irresponsible idiots, her parents are.
