The love of Jesus!

It brings people together!

  1. My close friend has been there several times. The descriptions he's given me of that "church" blow my mind! This is not the 1st time that's happened, nor will it be the last. It's a breeding ground for these territorial squabbles, since these guys hardly get along when they're spaced out by 100s or 1000s of miles. Put 'em into a small space like that... tempers flare. It's Orthodox Disneyland.
He tells me that, should one group leave their niche unmonitored or something, the neighboring group will actually physically come remove the rivals' vestments and structure from that niche and add it to their own.
More like "the love of power brings everyone together". Just like most of human history.

Incidentally, I don't consider Orthodox or Catholics to be Christians (yes, I have many reasons for that), so there's that...just for what it's worth.

Sure, and many people down the years have used "love of power" and "love of [deity of choice]" as synonymous concepts.

At least all that's happening here is some Looney Tunes cartoon violence. I'll take that over suicide bombers any day.
