PZ Myers on The Non-Prophets

In case you haven't heard it already, this past Saturday we got a chance to interview PZ Myers, author of the wildly popular Pharyngula blog, on "The Non-Prophets." The resulting show is here.

PZ dropped by at 27:23 in the broadcast, and we got to chat with him for about an hour. Topics we covered included Ben Stein's "Expelled," science education, Michael Behe's latest book, and thoughts about what you would have to do in order to make a good pro-science documentary.

Remember to drop by this thread and say thanks!

  2. I need to listen to that, and compare it to Skepticality, where Randi Olsen shows us how we all played into the creationists hand and promoted the movie (perhaps to superstardom?). I haven't heard it yet, but wanted to bring it to your attention if you weren't aware of it.

    Now to PZ's place.

  3. Considering that Expelled has made barely 7 million since opening and it hasn't been mentioned on the news since it's opening weekend I would have to disagree with the idea that we played into their hands. If anything this movie insulted people watching it who weren't already creationists and it's probably also the end of Ben Steins career considering this movie and the subsequent crazy shit he's said since then.
