'Tis the season for naked commerce!

See that sexay Atheist Experience blog logo to the right there? It's currently being silk-screened on T-shirts. Admit it, you're too stylish not to wear one. I'm printing up a hundred (real screen printing, not the transfer stuff you get using online p.o.d. services), but it's easy enough to place a phone call if more are needed, so don't worry about size availability.

For those of you of a green bent, I'm considering totes too. What think you?

Matt Dillahunty has also been asked by some of the TV show viewers about offering a wider variety of ACA or AE TV show merch — stuff like shirts, mousepads, more mugs, whatever. He replied that he's thinking about that. If he or the organization ever decide to offer such stuff, assuming there's an interest, he'll offer it here as well as the regular TV show site if he wishes. What might you like to see, specifically?

  1. Stickers!

I remember hearing something about how it was not allowed for the AE to advertise merch on the show because of public access rules but I may be mistakenzor.

  2. No, you're right, no advertising or solicitations on public access allowed.

  3. I would take a shirt, but im a big guy so it would need to be 5XL which is sometimes hard to find when you are dealing with getting shirts printed.

  4. What I really want is some non-prophet episodes from before July 15th 2005 to buy. That would totally make me soooooooo happy!

    AE Moo-hammad plushiez!!

I don't think the standard silk screening places take requests like that though, but a man can dream can't he?

  8. I would like to possess a t-shirt that fits the following description:

A monochrome image of Matt Dillahunty's attractive, intelligent head. Printed in white on black. In bold capitalised text, below this image, the words:

    "MATT DILLAHUNTY."

  10. Martin,

What I'd really like to see is the products page on the ACA's website accept paypal. I've been hankering to buy the MP3 compilations for ages, but waiting on the "Option to use PayPal coming soon.".

From the last show it sounds like Matt already has paypal as part of his email sig. Can you set it up so we can use that one?

  11. I'll buy something if you'll install a favicon on this blog. I hate having a text label in my 'marks bar to differentiate all you Blogger bloggers!

  12. Isherwood,

Not entirely sure how to do that. Maybe Kazim would know where to put the code.

  13. Hi Martin,

I'm sorry to leave a tech-related comment here, but I can't find any way to email you or the other AE bloggers directly. BTW, love all of you guys and gals involved with ACA, NP Radio, and this blog.

Unless it's just me, there's something about this blog that clogs up and slows down a computer when it loads. I don't have this trouble with any other blog, and I read many. I'm using the latest version of Firefox.

When I come here, it's like AE hijacks my computer's resources, and freezes everything up until the blog has loaded to its satisfaction. Its loading seems dependent on pulling in and displaying numerous links and images from many different places before it settles down. In the meantime, I can't work in another tab, or really do anything until all the visual pieces on the main page load up. Yes, I do have high speed cable.

Does anyone else experience this, or is it just me? If it's me, can anyone tell me how I can make adjustments? If it's not me, would you be kind enough to take a look at lightening the load on the front page?

    Thanks for all you do.

  14. Isherwood,

You can pay via PayPal now. It's just not very automated. What you need to do is place the order (which only generates an e-mail). Say in the order that you'll be paying via PayPal. Then, go to the donations page and make a PayPal donation to the general fund of that amount.

If you want international shipping, send mail to products@atheist-community.org and give them an idea of what you'd like to buy and what country you live in. You'll get a response with an additional amount to add to the PayPal "donation".

    Confusing, I know. --Don

  15. A bit off topic anyway

I emailed the AE team that im working on intro titles for the show but got no reply. I think it would give the show a more professional -slash- serious look. I worked really hard on it for over 2 weeks. BTW im the one who suggested the redesign of the AE website and made the header graphic.

If you guys are interested, please email me and i'll give you the link to the video. You can find my email at my site www.todoke.de

Would be nice if you could make an separate blog topic about it so people could vote, or just give me suggestions etc
