Oh well, so much for cranky Islamic Ph.D bloggers

As an update on this situation, I just went back to check for Sona's blog, and the new upgraded version, "Atheism the incoherence of the Illogic." Results:

Sorry, the blog at sonasblog.blogspot.com has been removed. This address is not available for new blogs.
and
The authors have deleted this blog. The content is no longer available.

The internet can be a very ephemeral place. I do, however, find it interesting that the four "Ph.D's" who were supposedly unconnected to Sona reacted to adversity in exactly the same fashion as Sona did: by pulling the whole thing down in a huff.

  1. Yes, the Internet is ephemeral...but Google caches many things (and so does archive.org).

You can find many interesting things that way...

  2. Poor babies. Allah! Why do you torture your faithful so? Oh, wait, you can't because you don't exist. I guess they're just assholes, and not very smart ones.

  3. Yeah! I know, it's so funny!

I was almost the only one commenting on their posts and debunking every single argument they put forth. It was actually fun ;)

Shame all good things come to an end =/

  4. Actually it feels strange to be commenting on this, when I was there right in the middle of the 'action' myself. I'm probably the reason they closed down atheismillogic.wordpress.com. I never thought someone would make a blog-entry about it.

  5. Well, I'm the reason they created it, so it seems only fair.

  6. Hannu, I was seriously enjoying reading your comments on that blog. I'd quickly skim through his entries and then read your responses. Kudos to you.

    Russell, you can add http://kafirgirlcritic.wordpress.com/
    to your list.

I was cleaning out my IP moderation box and realized that Zain had the same IP and email address as the guy who started that earlier blog. It didn't last long. It's still cached on Google in case you want to check out the content ;)

  7. Yeah, I tried to get to that blog the other day (some other chap and I were decimating some argument on there) and was upset to see it taken down yet again..

Well, not upset. I was laughing.

    Thanks Kafirgirl!

I too enjoy reading your blog entries. I've only been mostly lurking though up until now.

Much akin to my reaction to "atheismillogic" being closed down. First, disappointment. One sencond after, gales of laughter.

  9. Hannu, shucks, thank you. Do you have a blog? I Googled and ended up confused. Would love to read more of what you've written.

  10. Kafir, That would be because I don't have one. It's a good idea btw.

Maybe with some practical applications of management, I'd even have the time for it. I just haven't felt the inspiration for a particular topic, genre or scene. It would be about reason, that's for sure but beyond that I can't think of anything this early in the morning.
