A quick reminder why science is the coolest thing ever

Latest reason: It lets us go to Mars!

  1. One word: Retrorockets. The gamble paid off, we are getting good at this. I guess we won't be dressing our rovers up like the grapes guy from the fruit of the loom commercials anymore.

  2. Darth Rhology: The ability to land a probe on another planet is insignificant next to the power of Christ.

  3. Tommy - Obviously there were a lot of people praying for the mission to be a success, therefore it was only through the Power of Jebus that the landing succeeded.

Another reason science is cool - the Wolverine Frog (X-Men model, of course): http://scienceblogs.com/notrocketscience/2008/05/wolverine_frogs_pop_retractable_claws_from_their_toes.php

  4. Don't try to frighten us with your ecclesiastical ways, Lord Rhology. Your determined devotion to that bronze age religion has not helped you conjure up a decent rebuttal, or given you clairvoyance enough to admit when you're wrong.

  5. Another outstanding achievement by NASA. It takes the dedication, hard work, intelligence and inspiration of thousands of people to make something like this work. Of course, some jerks will drawl "What's so good about looking at a bunch of rocks?" Such people show their lack of insight into anything great.

  6. Ah yes. And what might we call those jerks? We might call them Ray Comfort.

  7. What do you think of that, Rhology and Dan? Who's in the wrong here: Comfort and those who think like him, or NASA and the Evilutionist Scientific Establishment?
