My idea is to become a Harold Camping clone, and I hope others follow me in doing so. I guess what he does isn't against the law because he's not getting in any legal trouble for it. Worst case scenario in having copy cats is that people start thinking we're crying wolf and stop believing in prophecies because it's just too impractical and expensive --which would be a fantastic byproduct. And maybe I'm wrong and they won't stop believing. Apparently, the fact that every prophet since the idea of prophets was first conceived has been a false prophet (as evidence by the lack of an end of the world) has not been enough to dissuade them, but I think maybe that is because widely advertised prophets are spread out over decades so only a very small number of failures are experienced in any one generation. Even if it's impossible to flood the prophecy market, and people do still give in to the many prophecies to come, then there is lots of money to be made from very stupid people and no legal trouble for those who collect. I know it's intellectually dishonest and even a little evil, but in the big picture I think the ends justify the means if it works. And, I feel less bad about tricking idiots into donating to a worthless cause than I would about flat out robbing someone. Maybe I could even use the money I collect from them for scientific and medical research. Since there seem to be no legal risks, is there any reason why I should not follow through with this idea? Does it make me a bad person? Am I some evil capitalist anti-christ? I really want to get some alternate view points. Thanks everyone.Blast Radiushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09920406607545747185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33241741.post-15304698915807751032011-05-24T09:38:52.122-05:002011-05-24T09:38:52.122-05:00Nice, wecantknow.com is also reset.
